In the category of “things I am really not ready for” would be Abby speaking in full sentences. Okay, ONE full sentence, and it only had two words, but still. She looked at her father, smiled at him, waved her little fingers and said, very clearly, “Hi Daddy”.
We were starting to wonder if it would ever happen, but this afternoon it finally did. Abby finally took a few steps totally on her own! J’s mom was here watching her for the afternoon while I was at a meeting. When it was time for her to leave, I set Abby on the floor and she held out her arms to her grandma and took three or four steps to reach her. She did it again for J when he got home, so he wasn’t completely left out.
