I can’t believe that it’s been a month since Abigail came into this world. Everything that we’d ever hoped about parenthood has been true, and even the very worst of it hasn’t been as terrible as we’d feared. (She says in the light of day through a new mother-shaped fog after a half-decent amount of sleep.) In the last month, we’ve had medical grumps and medical joy, our first emergency room visit, weight gain, spit-up and more spit-up, smiles and coos, days and nights filled with tears and screaming (some of them from the baby!), and more love and happiness than we could ever have hoped for.
Yeah, there’s some catching up to do around here. I’ll get around to it when it’s more interesting than watching my daughter sleep:
